Bhadrak: A group of women beat an illegal liquor trader black and blue in Badakiari village of Basudevpur block in the district on Saturday. They also damaged a huge cache of liquor that he was ferrying to the village.
The accused has been identified as Sanjeeb Sahu. He came to the village allegedly for supplying the illicit liquor to the local traders.
Sources said, the women of the village got suspicious seeing Sahu enter the village this morning. They immediately caught him with a huge cache of liquor and started beating. Later they were also seen pouring liquor on him and forcing him to drink the liquor.
Later, Basudevpur police reached the spot and arrested Sahu. They also seized liquor bottles and vehicle of the accused.
