Soro: Acting on a tip-off, the Soro Police busted an illegal liquor manufacturing unit here on Saturday.
The raid was conducted after the Cuttack Intelligence Unit and Soro Excise officials received information that an illicit liquor manufacturing unit is being operated at the house of one Ajit Kumar Barik in Ada village of Simulia block.
The excise officials have seized a huge cache of spirits, labels, empty bottles, colouring material and machines from the spot.
The Police have arrested Barik, the owner of the house, for further interrogation in the matter.
