Illegal Firecrackers Seized In Khurda district of Odisha, 2 Arrested

Khurdha: Odisha Police has seized illegal firecrackers worth more than 10 Lakhs in Padmapura village under Banapur police limits in Khurdha district of Odisha. They have arrested two firecracker vendors in this connection.

Under the COVID-19 Guidelines, the Odisha government had banned the manufacture and sell of firecrackers in the state during this diwali.

On being informed by sources, Balugaon ASDPO with Banpur ASI  Bijaya Kumar Mallik, Prasanna Jena, Rajkishore Behera, CSI Asutosh Paikray and Gambharimunda police officials raided three different places and seized worth lakhs of illegal firecrackers.

The seized firecrackers were then moved to Banapur Police station.

The main accused Ashok and one more was arrested by police under the case number 350/20.

The locals have alleged that there are many places where these illegal firecracker business is going on.
