IIT Bhubaneswar Opens Help Desk For JEE (Advanced) Aspirants

Bhubaneswar: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bhubaneswar has opened a special help desk in the E-class room in the campus for facilitating online registration for JEE Advanced Examination.

Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday has extended the registration date for the students of Odisha by five days after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik  has urged the union minister to extend the date of registration due to the severe cyclonic storm Fani.

IIT officials said that the registration can be made online from May 10 to May 15. The officials said that the help desk will be helpful for candidates who do not have Internet facility at their place.

“IIT Bhubaneswar could restore all facilities including Internet after the cyclone hit the campus and have established a special helpdesk. We are also running a special bus service from the city to the campus for facilitating transportation of the candidates,” said director of the institute, R.V. Raja Kumar.

The special buses will start at 9 am and 2 pm from Patia Square and will go via Jaydev Vihar – Khandagiri to IIT Bhubaneswar campus. Similarly the return buses from campus will be available at 12 noon, 4pm and 6 pm. IIT officials said that the detailed schedule of the buses is available .
