Bhubaneswar: Odisha DGP Abhay on Saturday suspended IIC of Jaleswar police station Dhaneshwar Sahu in Balasore district over his alleged involvement with drug mafia.
It was informed via a tweet from the official handle of DGP Odisha.
DGP has placed Inspector Dhaneshwar Sahu ,IIC Jaleshwar Police Station under suspension for gross misconduct .

The order came after a purported audio clip of a telephonic conversation went viral on social media in which Dhaneshwar Sahu, is talking to the brother of a brown sugar mafia SK. Jamuruddin and demanding money with help of a lawyer.
It is alleged that Sahu had a conversation and threatned one Sk Asruddin who happens to be the brother of drug peddler SK. Jamuruddin and demanded money for release of a seized vehicle.
Later, Additional SP of Balasore confirmed the voice which went viral was that of IIC Jaleswar.
