ICU of Puri District Headquarters Hospital sealed after patient tests positive for COVID-19

Puri: The intensive care unit (ICU) of the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) here in Odisha was sealed on Saturday after a patient, who was admitted to the ICU of the hospital, tested positive for COVID-19.

The district administration took the decision as the swab test report of a critical patient admitted to the ICU of the government-run hospital came out positive on Friday.

The said  patient was shifted to Covid  hospital in the pilgrim town.

Meanwhile, the doctors and and other staff members engaged in the ICU to stay in home quarantine for 14 days.

According to the State Health Department, as many as 586 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19  in Puri district  so far.  \

The active cases in the district stands at 239.
