Hyva Truck Driver Electrocuted In Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: In a tragic incident, a 37-year-old driver of  a Hyva truck died of electrocution  after the vehicle came in contact with a live wire near Amati village under Kolabira police limits in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district late last night.

The deceased has been identified as Kailash Behera , a resident of Tileimal village under Jamankira police limits in Sambalpur district.

On being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the body this morning. The body was later sent to a hospital for autopsy test.

According to reports, the container of the vehicle came in contact with a live wire while the driver was unloading the materials at around 11 PM last night.

The ill-fated vehicle bearing Regd No OD 23 G 9636 was engaged in a road construction work on Lunguda-Badamal stretch in the district under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
