Husband smashes wife’s head to death
Due to some family dispute the husband took this dastardly action
Mayurbhanj: Husband repeatedly smashed his wife’s head with a stone causing her death over a family dispute. This distressing incident occurred on Friday night at Mankadapal village under Baripada block Police Station in Mayurbhanj district.
The accused has been identified as Gobind Nayak and has been held after local police caught a whiff of the incident.
Gobind and his wife, Phukana Nayak, had a dispute on Friday night and an enraged Gobind smashed his wife’s head and in result killing her in their home.
Their only son, upon returning home found his mother’s bloodied dead body. He immediately called neighbours for help, who in turn informed the local police.
Baripada Police have taken the victim’s body for autopsy and have also taken custody of the accused Gobind. They have lodged a case for murder and a detailed investigation is underway.
