Huge Spike! 7071 Covid positives in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported a huge spike in Covid cases with 7071 positive cases including 2226 from Khordha have been detected in the last 24 hours.

The total cases include 707 in the 0-18 years age group have been found, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Monday.

Among the 7071 positives, 4128 are quarantine cases and 2943 are local contacts. There are a total of 27,216 active cases. The positivity rate stands at 10.24%.

Khordha has reported the highest with 2226 cases, followed by Sundargarh (1147), Sambalpur (609), Cuttack (505) and Mayurbhanj (201).

On the other hand a 55 years old female of Bolangir district who was also suffering from Hypertension has succumbed to Covid-19 in Odisha, informed State Health & Family Welfare Department.
