Bhubaneswar: Acting on a tip-off, Mancheswar Police conducted a raid on Dhirkut Slum of the city and seized a huge cache of country as well as foreign liquor and arrested a woman in this connection late Tuesday night.
The arrested woman has been identified as Mamata Roul.
According to sources, cops seized a total of 391 bottles of various foreign brands and 494 Aska-40 bottles during the raid. The cost of the seized liquor has been estimated to be more than Rs 2 lakh, police said.
The arrested woman was running the illegal liquor vending outlet for long. Police are interrogating Roul to find out the involvement of others in these activities.
