Mohana: Adava Police in Odisha’s Gajapati district seized a huge quantity of ganja and arrested one person for his involvement in the case. The accused has been identified as Tileswar Nayak.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of cops from Adava Police Station conducted a raid in Barlaguda Village of the district and seized around 679 kgs of ganja which were packed in 5 sacks.
Nayak had kept the contraband for trading, said sources adding that the market value of the seized ganja is said to be around Rs 34 lakh.
Adava Police Station IIC Anand Chandra Patra said that a case has been registered against Tileswar Nayak, who will be forwarded to the court after undergoing a medical test.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
