Huge 15-ft King Cobra Rescued From Well In Odisha’s Ganjam After 2-hr Long Toil

Khallikote: A King cobra was rescued from a well in Burujhari village of Ganjam district in Odisha earlier today. It was later released into the wild after a 2 hour long toil.

Locals of the village spotted the snake inside an abandoned well and immediately informed the forest department. Forest officials sent a team of the snake helpline, working in the Khollikote forest range.

The snake was rescued after an hour of hard work. The two team members of the snake helpline Swapnalok Mishra and Mihir Pandey, said that the reptile was approximately 15-feet-long.

Swapnalok Mishra, a snake rescuer said, “The king cobra is 12-15 feet long.”

The snake was later released in the forest on the orders of Khallikote forest official after a health check-up.
