Bargarh: Mukesh Kumar Bhamo, the Superintend of Police of Bargarh district in Odisha went above and beyond his duty to help accident victims on Tuesday.
According to reports, SP Mukesh Kumar Bhamo noticed a huge crowd near Pathali on NH-53 while he was returning from Ainlapali firing range to his office in his car. Out of curiosity, he got out of his vehicle and found two persons lying on a pool of blood on the roadside. Without having any second thought and losing a moment, the Good Samaritan SP asked his driver to carry the injured ones to the district headquarters hospital. Later, he himself sought lift to someone else to reach his office.
The accident took place at around 3 pm while the injured, who are identified as Ganesh Bhati and Hemant Bhuye of Rengali camp under Attabira police limits, were returning home from Baring Bazaar. Their motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle.
The humanitarian work of Mukesh Kumar has now become the talk of the town. Even, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, on his Twitter handle, highly appreciated the exemplary act of the SP.
