Bhubaneswar: A house caught fire after lightning struck them in Ramchandrapur village under Garadpur block of Kendrapara district in Odisha. According to reports, two rooms of Saroj Maharana’s houses were burnt to ashes by the fire caused by the lightning. Valuables worth millions of rupees were also gutted in the fire.
The fire brigade was informed about the incident. However, by the time they reached the spot, everything was already on fire. Saroj fainted due to the lightning strike. Currently, he is receiving treatment at Patkura Hospital. The villagers have demanded the government to provide some aid to Saroj.
