Holy dip in Kartika Purnima proves fatal, Minor goes missing in Odisha

Dhenkanal: A minor boy goes missing while taking holy dip in Brahmani river in Bhuban town in Dhenkanal’s Kamakhyanagar this morning. The missing minor has been identified as Roshan Nayak, son of Bidyadhar Nayak. Roshan was a ninth grader and he was the only son of his parents.

Reportedly, Roshan went along with his family to Brahmani river in Bhuban to set afloat the boats on the occasion of Kartika Purnima. The locals also congregated at the place for the same.

After Roshan set afloat the boat, he went into the river to take a holy dip following which his slipped off and went missing in the water.

The family was panic stricken and locals immediately informed to the local fire fighters.

On getting the information, the Bhuban Fire personnel arrived at the spot and initiated the rescue operation in Brahmani river. The drowning incident of Roshan has formed a shadow of mourning over the area.
