Holi 2022: Here’s the guidelines issued by Odisha Govt

Bhubaneswar: While issuing the Covid-19 guidelines for the month of March on February 28, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has banned the celebration of Holi and related rituals in any public place including public roads across Odisha.

“Holi and its related rituals shall not be observed in public places throughout the state. People may celebrate ‘Holi’ with family members in their houses only and not in any public places including public roads, said the guidelines.

Collectors and Municipal Commissioners may impose any further restrictions as desirable in consideration of local situations, it added.

People have been advised to ensure Covid Appropriate Behaviour such as physical distancing, use of face mask/ covering and handwashing/ hand sanitizer during the celebration of Dola Purnima and Holi.
