Bhubaneswar: Hockey India has announced the sale of tickets for the FIH Men’s Series Final Bhubaneswar. The 10-day event, between June 6 and 15, is the first major competition in the capital after the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup held last year.
The FIH Men’s Series Final, crucial for the 2020 Olympic Qualifying Pathway, will witness eight teams – Asian Games Gold Medallist Japan, Mexico, USA, Poland, South Africa, Russia, Uzbekistan and hosts India – battling for the top two spot in order to make it to the next round of Olympic Games qualification process.
Hosts India being the highest world ranked team in the event will vie for the top spot to ensure they are on track to win their Olympic berth.
With less than a month to go before the start of the all-important event, Hockey India on Monday announced that ticket sales will go live from May 14, Tuesday.
In view of public demand from across the country, Ticketgenie Solutions Pvt Ltd who are the official ticket sales agency for the FIH Men’s Series Finals Bhubaneswar Odisha 2019 will make the tickets available online from 11 am IST tomorrow.
The tickets are very reasonably priced at ₹200 for East Stand, ₹100 for the league stage, tickets for the semi-final and final will cost ₹ 250 and ₹150.
In an attempt to encourage spectators to come and watch the morning matches, the Organising Committee has extended free entry to East, North & South stands on first cum first serve basis for all the morning matches being held on June 6, 7, 10, 12 and at 0845 hrs. But all the matches of the hosts India have been scheduled in the evening.
