Herd of Elephants Wreak Havoc In Odisha’s Mayurbhanj 

Baripada: A herd of wild elephants has been creating havoc in several villages of Mayurbhanj district, causing damage to several houses and crops for the last few days.

According to villagers, a herd of over 20 wild elephants came from the Jharkhand forest has been wreaking havoc and damaging property and crop fields in villages under Rarua, Sukli and Karanjia blocks.

As per reports, the elephant herd damaged three houses and many crops yesterday.

The Electricity Department has been disconnecting the power supply to avoid any untoward incident.

Forest officials along with the villagers are keeping a close watch and trying to disperse the animals.
