Malkangiri: With no respite in sight from rain woes several bridges got submerged under floodwater in Malkangiri district today cutting road communication between different areas.
As per the report, traffic flow between Malkangiri-Kalimela-Padia has been completely disrupted following incessant rain which lashed the district starting from yesterday.
Due to the waterlogging rainwater flew at a height of 2 feet above Kangurukonda bridge, 3 feet above Kalimela Kanyashram bridge and 2 feet above Poteru bridge today morning leaving people in a state of panic. Hundreds of vehicle remained stranded on both sides of the submerged bridges following the situation.
District administration has kept a close watch on the flood situation and alerted its officials.
