Heavy rain likely in Odisha for next 2 days

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Metrological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Friday predicted that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur for next two days in several places in the state as the cyclonic circulation intensified in the northwest part of the Bay of Bengal.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur in Koraput, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Puri, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Dhenkanal,  Sambalpur , Deogarh and Bargarh in next two days, the Met department said.

Meanwhile, active monsoon has also given good rains in many parts of the state in the last few days.

The weathermen also issued thunderstorm for 12 districts of the state till 7 PM today. The districts include Khurda, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Mayurbhanj, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Malkangiri and Koraput.

People of these districts have been advised to take precautions during the adverse weather conditions.

Sea condition is likely to be very rough along Odisha coast. Hence, fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea.
