Heatwave Warning Issued Till April 2 In These Districts Of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar issued a heatwave warning in Odisha till April 2 in which eight districts of the state will be affected.

The heatwave condition is very likely to prevail over Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Kalahandi, Balangir, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur, and Angul districts of the state.

The warning has been issued till 8.30 am on March 31 for Mayurbhanj, Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, and Boudh.

Similarly, the warning has been issued from 8.30 am on March 31 to 8.30 am on April 2 for Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Kalahandi, Balangir, Sambalpur, and Angul.

Meanwhile, the weather department has predicted light to moderate rainfall and thundershower over one or two places in five districts including Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Bhadrak from 8.30 am on April 3 to 8.30 am on April 4.

Notably, the maximum day temperature is very likely to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the next 2 days, and no large change thereafter. The maximum temperature is likely to be above normal by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius at many places over the districts of interior Odisha during the next 3 to 4 days.
