Heat wave condition continues in Odisha as mercury soars to 40 degree & above in 5 places

Bhubaneswar: Scorching heatwave continue to sweep Odisha as the mercury soared to 40 degree and above in 5 places of the State today.

According to the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Titilagarh, Boudh, Balangir, Sambalpur, and Baripada recorded a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and above today.

The data of the weatherman showed that Titilagarh town recorded the highest temperature of the day as it sizzled at 41 degree Celsius while Balangir witnessed a temperature of 40.5 degree Celsius.

Likewise, Boudh, Sambalpur and Baripada towns registered a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius.

The residents of the State Capital City, Bhubaneswar, witnessed a maximum temperature of 37.8 degrees Celsius, said the regional centre of IMD adding that Gopalpur Town, with a maximum temperature of 32.1 degrees Celsius, was the coolest place in the State today.
