Heat To Reduce In Odisha Says IMD Chief, Thunderstorm Expected

Bhubaneswar: The heatwave in Odisha is likely to be reduced said the Indian Met Department (IMD) Chief Mritunjay Mahapatra on Thursday.

The IMD Chief further added that temperature may reduce and also thunderstorm activity is likely to occur in some districts of coastal and adjoining interior Odisha.

Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapada.

But he also added that heatwave to very severe heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail in some districts of Odisha.
