Malkangiri: In a joint operation, a team of Special Task Force (STF) and Malkanagiri district Police apprehended a hardcore absconding interstate drug trafficker.
The drug trafficker has been identified as Munsi Prasad Singh, the son of Babulal Singh belonging to Awadhnagar in Bishunpur, under Yadopur police station in Gopalganja district of Bihar.
In connection with this case, Mathili Police while conducting patrolling and seized contraband Ganja around 884 Kgs.
The police also seized two Mahindra Bolero Pick-Up vehicles and other incriminating materials from the possession of accused person.
During interrogation the accused person confessed that as per direction of accused Munsi Prasad Singh of Bihar they were transporting contraband ganja.
The apprehended accused person was one of the masterminds in the case as well as a noted inter-state drug trafficker (Ganja).
He was absconding since occurrence of the case.
