Cuttack: A green corridor was created on Saturday for shifting a critically-ill patient from SCB Medical and Hospital in Cuttack to Biju Patnaik International Airport in the Odisha capital.
The patient has been identified as Indramani Pani, father of Surat Municipal Commissioner Banchhanidhi Pani.
He was airlifted to Surat for advanced treatment.
Pani was admitted to SCB medical & hospital, Cuttack for medical treatment. He was being treated at the medicine ward for quite some days.
Green corridor refers to a special route that is cleared of the traffic for some time to help the harvested organs or patients to travel to a destination in a very short time.
