Rayagada: A Grama Rakhi was allegedly shot dead by Maoists on suspicion of being a police informer at Tikarpada village under Ambadala police limits in Rayagada district last night.
The deceased has been identified as Santosh Dandasena.
According to reports, more than 10 armed Maoists arrived at the village and dragged him out of his house. Later, the extremists killed him on the village road.
The Basadhara-Ghumusar and Nagabali division maoists mentioned that they killed Dandasena as he was working as a police informer.
Till the last report was filed, police had not reached the spot.
