Govt Of Odisha Effects Major IAS Reshuffle

Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha on Saturday reshuffled seven IAS officers in the state. A notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department informed that Prasanta Kumar Senapati, a 2004-batch IAS officer, presently posted as Director, Fisheries, Odisha has been appointed as Secretary, Board of Revenue, Odisha.

Similarly, 2002-batch IAS officer Krishan Kumar, the Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Cooperation Department with the additional charge of Special Secretary to Govt Agriculture and  FE Department and Chairman, Odisha State Warehousing Corporation, Bhubaneswar is allowed to remain in additional charge of Secretary, Works Department in addition to his own duties.

Besides, 2007-batch IAS officer Balwant Singh, currently posted as Director, Technical Education and Training with an additional charge of Director, Agricultural Marketing and Member Secretary, OSAM Board, Bhubaneswar has been allowed to remain in additional charge of Vice-Chairman, Bhubaneswar Development Authority.

2010-batch IAS officer Prem Chandra Chaudhary, Director  (I/c), Special Projects, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department with additional charge of Chief Executive Officer of Biju Yuva Bahini and Director of State Institute for Rural Development  has been allowed to remain in additional charge of Controller, Legal Metrology-cum- Director Consumer Affairs, Odisha, Bhubaneswar in addition to his own duties.

IAS Bishnupada Sethi of 1995-batch, who posted as Special Relief Commissioner and Managing Director of OSDMA, has been given additional charge of Commercial Taxes and GST Department. Similarly, 1996-batch IAS officer Saswat Mishra, who was earlier the Commissioner of Commercial Taxes and GST has now been appointed as Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Higher Education Department of the state government.
