Government Doctor In Odisha Caught Red-Handed While Accepting Bribe

Sundargarh: A government doctor has been caught red-handed by vigilance sleuths for accepting a bribe of Rs. 5000 from a health worker in Hemgiri block of Sundargarh district in Odisha.

The doctor identified as Sradhakar Gartia, is the Medical Officer in-charge cum Superintendent of Hemagiri Community Health Center (CHC) in Sundargarh.

He has been caught red-handed by vigilance officers of Rourkela Division while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe ) of Rs. 5000 (Five Thousand) from Kalpana Patel.

Patel was an ex- multi purpose Health Worker (Female) of Hemagiri CHC presently, MPHW Mangaspur CHC for regularisation of her leave period.

The entire bribe money has been recovered from the possession of Dr Gartia . The Govt residential Qtr. and office chamber of the Dr Gartia at the campus of Hemagiri CHC and his residential building situated at Sambalpur Town are being searched on DA angle.
