Goods Train Wagon Catches Fire Twice In Odisha

Balangir: Two bogies of a coal laden goods train caught fire twice at Rahenbata and Muribahal stations in the district today.

 “Few people near the tracks saw smoke billowing out of the bogies and immediately informed the Odisha Fire Service. Fire tenders reached the spot and brought the fire under control. However fire started again after the train left Rahenbata. Finally the fire was brought under control at Kantabanji station,” said an official.  

Railway officials said that a thorough inspection of the goods train was carried out before allowing it to leave the station.    

In a similar incident on Thursday, four bogies of a coal laden goods train had caught fire at Rayagada Station.
