Goods Train Wagon Catches Fire In Odisha

Rayagada: Four bogies of a coal laden goods train caught fire at Rayagada Station today. Railway officials said that the incident took place when the train was on its way from Visakhapatnam to Raipur.

“Few people near the tracks saw smoke billowing out of the bogies and immediately informed the Odisha Fire Service. Fire tenders reached the spot and brought the fire under control. We are also trying to ascertain the cause of fire,” said an official.

Railway officials said that a thorough inspection of the goods train was carried out before allowing it to leave the station.
