Goods train derails in Odisha’s Khurda

Bhubaneswar: A goods train derailed between Solari and Balugaon stations in Odisha’s Khurda district on the Howrah-Chennai Main Line on Wednesday.

According to the East Coast Railway, the wagon of an iron-ore-laden goods train derailed at 4.35 PM while it was going to Hubli of Karnataka from Nayagarh of Odisha.

After the derailment of the goods train, the movement of trains on the route between Bhubaneswar and Berhampur was disrupted. East Coast Railway controlled the Bhubaneswar-Mumbai CSMT Konark Express at Gangadharpur Railway Station from 4.42 PM. Likewise, Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknuma Express was controlled at Kalupadaghat Station from 5 PM.
