Goods Train Derails in Odisha

Rayagada: At least two bogies of a goods train derailed at Bhalumuska Railway Station in Kalyansinghpur of the district this evening.

According to reports, the bogies of the goods train went out of the track while it was bringing aluminum from NALCO plant in Damanjodi of Koraput district.

Train movement through Koraput-Rayagada route has been hit following the derailment of the train.

Hirakhand Express has been stranded at Lakshmipur while the Rourkela-Koraput Express is stranded at Tikiri station following the derailment of the train.

Meanwhile, the local administrations along with the police and railway officials have reached the site and are carrying out efforts to clear the route.

This is the second such incident in the same route in the last two days.

On September 9, 15 bogies of a goods train had derailed near Damanjodi railways station.
