Good news! You can update Aadhar card in banks; Know what is the way and how much will be charged

If you do not have time to put a line at the post office or Aadhaar Seva Kendra to get Aadhaar updated, you can do this work in the bank as well. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has also authorized banks to update Aadhaar. To update the Aadhaar card itself, it is very important that the mobile number entered in it is active. If it is not, then you will have to go to the bank, Aadhar Seva Kendra or post office to get the Aadhaar updated.

Let’s know, how you can update Aadhaar in the bank:

– You must first search the branch of any bank where Aadhaar update facility is being provided. After knowing the bank address, you have to visit. Most of the banks have given a list of their branches on their website where Aadhaar Card Enrollment and Updation Centers are operated.

– To get Aadhaar updated on going to the bank, you have to fill a form. You will also have to attach any proof of your identity and address.

– After this, the bank officials will update your details in the Aadhaar card.

Update Aadhar card in bank:

You can update this by visiting the branch of the bank where you have an account. You can update the date of birth, name, mobile number, address, biometric, gender, photograph and e-address in the Aadhaar card. You will also have to pay some charges to get the Aadhaar card updated at the bank.

You will have to pay a fee of Rs 50 for updating the relationship status, email address, name, address, date of birth or age, gender or mobile number. Apart from this, you have to pay 50 rupees for updating other biometric things like photographs and fingerprints.

Aadhar card updates can also be done at Aadhaar Seva Kendra: Aadhaar Seva Kendras have been established in many major cities of the country including Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Lucknow, and Chennai for Aadhar card updates and new registrations. To book an Aadhaar at any Aadhaar service centre, you need to visit https://appointments.uidai.gov.in/ to book an appointment. Here you have to click on the option of My Aadhaar. Then click on the option of Book An Appointment from the options given in the drop down.
