Gold loot from Jajpur’s Madhuban market: 3 held, theft items seized

Jajpur: In the gold and silver loot case from Madhuban market of Jajpur district in Odisha, Police on Saturday arrested three miscreants and recovered 84 gram gold, 4 kg silver and a bike from their possession. These miscreants had looted gold, silver from Madhuban bazar under Kuakhia Police limits of the district.

The accused persons have been identified as Deepak Pradhan and Prakash Pradhan of Jakhapur Police limits and Raja Shikari of Pipili Police limits.

As per reports, a complaint had been lodged in the Police Station regarding the loot from a Jewelry shop on last October 21. As per the complaint, owner of the Jewelry shop Suman Kamila arrived the shop along with a bag in which the said gold and silver ornaments had been kept. He then went to collect drinking water when someone had looted the jewelry bag.

Accordingly, he lodged the complaint about the loot in Kuakhia Police Station. After getting the complaint Police shook into action, checked the CCTV footage and started investigation.

Today Kuakhia Police managed to arrest the culprits and forwarded to Court, informed IIC Manoj Kumar Swain.
