Gold jewellery worth Rs 12 crore recovered from Bhubaneswar, See details

Bhubaneswar: The Government Railway Police (GRP) has recovered a huge quantity of gold jewellery from Bhubaneswar Railway Station on Wednesday.

Reportedly, more than 32 kgs of gold jewellery were seized from the possession of four youth. The four youth were traveling by Konark Express train from Mumbai to the capital city of Odisha.

They were carrying four different bags filled with gold jewellery in the bags. Each bag had pieces of gold jewelry weighing 8kg.

Acting on a tip-off, the GRP caught the four youth with all the gold jewellery pieces worth Rs 12 crore.

All of them have been detained by the cops for questioning. The Income Tax Department along with the GST team has initiated an investigation into the case to ascertain from where did they get the gold jewellery and to where were they travelling.
