Balasore: Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted gold jewellery worth lakhs from jewellery shop at Langleswar Bazar under Singla police limits in the district late night on Thursday.
The matter came to light this morning when the owner of Shiva Shakti Jewellery shop Manik Kumar Hait, found jewellery worth lakhs being looted from the shop.
According to sources, Hiat had gone to his home after closing the shop at 10 pm yesterday. Today morning when he came to open the shop he found locks of the shop were broken and lying on the floor.
It is suspected that the robbery has been committed by a gang of miscreants late night yesterday, added sources.
On being informed Singla Police along with Forensic Team reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident.
