Nayagarh: A girl was allegedly kidnapped by three men near Sinduria area of Nayagarh district and later the three persons were arrested by police and seized a sharp weapon and car from their possession.
The accused arrested persons have been identified as Jamir Khan of Dharakot area in Ganjam district, Sukanta Kumar Routray of Gosani Nuagaon and Dinesh Bindhani of Paramanandapur village of Kalahandi district.
Sources say, the girl had gone to the market along with her friend and was returning home, when three men came in the car and forcefully abducted her and fled from the scene.
On knowing about the incident, the family members lodged a complaint at the police station. Later, the police conducted raid on various places and arrested them based on CCTV footage and seized a sharp weapon and car from them.
The exact reason behind the abduction is yet to be ascertained, but the three men have been sent to the jail.
