Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a girl killed her roommate by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon in a ladies hostel in Gourinagar area in the city last night.
The deceased girl has been identified as Alankananda Dash, a resident of Balasore.
While it is still not clear why the victim was attacked by her roommate, some neighbours of the duo suspected that a dispute occurred between them late last night and the murder took place.
Meanwhile, Lingaraj Police has detained the accused girl to interrogate on the incident and she has been identified as Anita Mishra.
