Kalahandi: A group of five youths have allegedly gang-raped a girl in Jaring forest near National Highway-26 in Junagarh of Kalahandi district and made the video of the heinous crime viral on the internet later.
The video which is doing rounds on various social media platforms features the accused, all with covered face, sexually assaulting the girl in an unknown place. More shockingly, the accused could be seen threatening the girl by showing sharp weapons during the act.
After the victim girl lodged a complaint in connection with the incident local police have initiated a probe into the incident and detained one person for questioning.
As per the complaint filed by the victim girl, the incident took place on September 14 while she along with her male friend were en-route to home through the highway. A group of masked youths intercepted their bikes and raped her on the knifepoint. Later, the accused filmed the incident on a mobile phone and made the video viral.
