Salepur: A tragic accident has taken place this morning in which a girl has lost her life and four others of a family have sustained injured.
According to reports, the accident took place near Nishchintkoili police station near Katikata. A tipper and car collided head-on. A minor girl, 16-year-old identified as Sarita Mallick was killed on the spot in the crash and at least four others were injured.
The driver of the tipper has fled from the scene, police has seized the vehicle and taken it to the police station.
A pall of gloom has descended on the family after the death of the minor.
