Gehlot in Cuttack for Tiranga Yatra Campaign

Cuttack: Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Thawar Chand Gehlot arrived in the state to attend the Tiranga Yatra in Phulnakhara near here as part of the party’s programme to pay homage to the ‘sung and unsung’ freedom fighters and connect with the people in the process.

The minister will speak about the New India Anthem fostered by PM Narendra Modi, ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’ campaign at Sarala Bhawan in the evening today.

Gehlot has been assigned by the party to lead the Tiranga Yatra campaign in Faridabad (Haryana), Ujjain and Shajapur (Madhya Pradesh) and Cuttack.

Gehlot garlanded the statue of Subash Chandra Bose in Cuttack and addressing the press, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had appealed to the citizens on the 70th Independence Day about the Sankalp Se Siddhi campaign and his visit to the state is part of the campaign.

He is also scheduled to visit the Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (SVNIRTAR), an autonomous institute at Olatpur functioning under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

The Tiranga Yatra was outlined at the BJP’s parliamentary meet and aims to spread the nationalist fervour in the country.
