Angul: Hundreds of vehicles were stranded on both sides of NH-55 at Chandrabahal village in the district after cooking gas leaked from a tanker today. Acute panic gripped the residents of the area following the leakage of the gas.
Driver of the tanker also fled the spot after spotting the leakage from the top part of the tanker.
On being informed, local police along with a team of fire fighters reached the spot.
Till last reports came in, efforts were on to stop the leakage.
Meanwhile, the locals have been advised by the district administration to stay away from the tanker.
