Jharsuguda: In an unfortunate incident, a welding gas cylinder exploded at a Sponge Iron factory in Raghunathpali under Kolabira police limits of Jharsuguda district at 4 am on Thursday.
Reportedly, one person has been killed while three others have sustained critical injuries in the gas cylinder blast.
The deceased has been identified as Sailesh Sahu. He was working as the security guard in the factory.
All the injured persons were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). Later, one among them was shifted to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla as his health condition deteriorated.
On getting the information, the local police arrived at the spot and initiated a probe into the matter to ascertain the cause behind the cylinder blast.
