Ganjam Collector takes new initiative to contain coronavirus
Berhampur: Be it issuing shutdown order or declaring containment zones or collecting fines from violators or requesting people of rural areas to avoid visiting urban areas, Ganjam district administration is taking several measures to contain coronavirus in the district. It has now come up with a new initiative to check spread of COVID19 in the district.
District Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange, in a Twitter post, has requested the people of the district not to travel more than 1 km from their native places and maintain social distancing and wear facemasks in case they go out.
This apart, he has appealed the people to inform ASHA workers if they have symptoms like fever, cough, breathlessness and diarrhea without hiding.
We request to Ganjam people
1) Not to travel more than 1 km from your native place. Be at home
2)Don’t hide symptoms like
Fever
Cough
Breathlessness
Diarrhea
3)Tell immediately to nearest AASHA about it

The district administration also asked all shopkeepers to wear masks and use sanitizers. They should put-up the ‘No mask No goods’ board for the customers.
Moreover, they must barricade in front of their shops and draw circle which can be used to follow social distancing rules among the people and maintain a contact diary of their customers.
FIR will be filed and shop will be closed for seven days if violations of above norms, added the district administration.
