Rayagada: The Padmapur police of Rayagada district has arrested a ganja peddler and seized ganja worth Rs 50 lakhs on Sunday.
The arrested person is identified as Tadu Majhi of Hitapanka village under Guluguda panchayat in the district.

Acting under a tip-off, the Padmapur police raided an abandoned house in the village and seized 550 kilograms of ganja in 14 bags. During the raid, it came to fore that Tadu Majhi was illegally cultivating cannabis in his cashew orchard.
Tadu Majhi was arrested in connection to cultivation and trading of ganja and has been forwarded to court.
