Ganja Worth More Than 20 Lakh Seized In Odisha, 7 Peddlers Arrested

Kandhamal: Around five quintals and 15 kgs of ganja has been seized in Kandhamal district of Odisha today and as many as seven peddlers has been arrested by the police.

Acting on the tip-off, the Gochhapada police officer Trupti Ranjan Nayak led by Phulbani Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Mahendranath Murmu conducted a raid at Usagadu village near Gochhapada when the ganja was being illegally transported to Bangalore. The team arrested seven peddlers and seized five quintals and 15 kgs of ganja.

While the cops arrested seven peddlers, two others fled from the spot.

The value of the seized ganja is estimated to be Rs 20,30,000, said the Phulbani SDPO.
