Subarnapur: In a major crackdown on the ganja smugglers, Sonepur police have seized five quintals of ganja at Haradakhola Chhaka on NH-57 that connects Khurda-Bolangir in the state of Odisha and two people have been arrested in this connection.
Acting on a tip-off, about the illegal transportation of ganja in the goods truck, the police intercepted and seized 5 quintals of ganja worth twenty lakhs from the truck.
The truck was illegally transporting the contraband from Boudh to Andhra Pradesh.
The Sonepur police have arrested the driver and the helper of the goods truck. The police have seized the vehicle and have court-forwarded them.
