Jagatsinghpur: Tightening the noose around the Kendrapara gangster Syed Usman Ali aka Tito’s accomplices, Odisha Crime Branch raided the residence and hotels of a local of Mukundapur area in Jagatsinghpur town here on Sunday.
An eight-member team of CB’s Special Task Force (STF) led by Inspector Ramesh Chandra Thappa started with one Dipti Dash’s house and later went on raiding at least two hotels owned by him on charges of amassing huge wealth illegally with the help of the arrested gangster.
During the raid the STF found a gun, 12 rounds of bullets, Rs 62000 in cash and several luxury cars and seized those.
Notably, the Crime Branch had put a watch on Dash for past few years due to a huge increase in his wealth and growing intimacy with gangster Tito. Dash was also under police’s scanner for his involvement in women trafficking.
