Gang Of Inter-District Dacoits Busted In Odisha’s Koraput, 7 Arrested

Koraput: Borigumma police has busted a gang of inter-district dacoits in Koraput district of Odisha today.

As per reports, a gang of dacoits were reportedly looting businessmen, money lenders and mill owners in Borigumma, Birsingpur and Kotpad areas of the district since several months.

The police team was on a high alert after multiple complaints. Acting on these complaints, the police had earlier raided and nabbed three of the gang members while the others managed to escape.

However, they have arrested the other four dacoits today during a special drive and forwarded them to the court.

The Borigumma SDPO briefed the media stating about the recovery of nine mobile phones, a knife, three Pulsar bikes, a gold chain and Rs 40,300 from their possession.
