Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is slated to attend the first preparatory meeting of the 150th year of Mahatma Gandhiji’s birth anniversary.
Patnaik will leave for New Delhi today to attend the preparatory meeting at Rashtrapati Bhavan tomorrow. President Ram Nath Kovind is scheduled to chair the meeting where several Union Ministers and Chief Ministers are slated to be present.
Meanwhile, sources said that Patnaik is likely to meet some Union Ministers and hold discussion with them over several Odisha related issues.
It is worthwhile to mention here that the Union Government has allotted Rs 150 crore for the grand celebration of the sesquicentennial birth anniversary of Gandhi.
